Considering relocation? You
need to follow few steps to make everything fall right in place. Don’t wait for
the D-Day, start preparing for relocation at least one month in advance.
When 30 days left:
Discuss with several real estate moving companies and appoint a suitable mover.
Evaluate the experiences and past records of the movers and then take final decision.
Apply for utility services such as water, electric, gas, internet, telephone, etc
in your new home.Get your cards printed with your new address.
When 15 Days left:
Make arrangement for packing materials. Get appropriate boxes, sheets, cartons,
and other objects for packing.Now prepare two lists of items. One list will include the items you use and the
other will include the items that you don’t use. Combine all the unwanted stuffs
and sell them off as there is no point in spending packing and moving costs for
the things that you don’t need.
When 7 Days left:
Ask your milkman and newspaper boy to stop the service.
Inform your post office about your address change .
When a day is left:
Confirm that everything is packed and ready to be moved.
D-Day:
